Ekta is a social entrepreneur and the founder of a support group for women in domestic abuse situations called “Invisible Scars”. She is also a core member of an initiative for zero tolerance against rape called Poorn Viraam. She is backed by 20+ years of work experience which includes being an entrepreneur as well as a corporate executive. She is currently the Project Coordinator (South) for SAMVAD Advocacy, an NGO headquartered in Jabalpur MP. Ekta is a core member of the TEDxHyderabad group and the license holder for TEDxHyderabadWomen. Ekta is also an active member of SAHE – Society for Advancement of Human Endeavour, a not for profit society. At this point she is also leading a technology focused social enterprise, project/start-up, as well as being an active volunteer for SAHE’s Live the Lakes, Rain Water Harvesting and First Response projects. Ekta works closely with other NGOs as well as Bharosa and the SHE teams. She has also completed the training conducted by Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) to become a Margdarshak, due to her role in the space of domestic abuse. In her spare time Ekta, likes to involve herself in artistic pursuits such as art through doodling and writing poetry.
